15 Reasons the Cybertruck Will Outsell Ford F-150

Tesla has set the bar high in the automobile industry with its futuristic design, unique & innovative features, and automated & eco-friendly technology. It introduced people to a new automobile category that looks great and offers advanced performance. Tesla’s Cybertruck is just another example of it. Many are already wondering if it’ll outsell the Ford F-150. We think it will, and here are 15 reasons why:

Unique Design

Tesla’s Cybertruck’s design is futuristic, while Ford’s F-150 looks more like the usual pickup. Tesla has given it a futuristic aesthetic, stainless steel body, and angular lines, making it appealing to today’s generation. But its design features aren’t limited to just this; it includes a 6.5-foot truck bed, which is a foot longer than Ford’s. The bed comes with an extendable telescoping ramp instead of a standard tailgate. It’s not something you usually see on the roads, setting it apart.

Durability

The Cybertruck’s strength is as strong as its design. Elon Musk said that the door would hold up to shots from a 9mm handgun. Austenite steel can perform in heat and cold weather, is non-magnetic, and has excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance. Its exoskeleton construction provides unmatched strength and durability, making it dent and scratch-resistant. Ford has built the F-150 to be as practical and straightforward as a regular gas-powered pickup, while Tesla seems to show their Cybertruck as a fashion statement that is good for all.

Innovative Interior

The Ford F-150 carries all the features you would expect an EV to have, although it still has kept the essence of regular pickups. However, Tesla decided to keep it exclusive and put a no-button touch screen with the perk of a customized user interface. Its touch screen is a vehicle control, entertainment, and navigation hub. The signature style of Cybertruck can also be seen on its seats and dashes. With its spacious cabins to keep all the luggage, it becomes a perfect fit for both short drives and long journeys.

Flexing Features

The Cybertruck has features that provide convenience and enhancement. Some features we’re talking about include air suspension and an air compressor. It has a solar tonneau cover that can harness sunlight to charge the battery and power external devices.

Impeccable Performance

The Cybertruck offers better acceleration and instant torque than the F-150. Thanks to its powertrain, it can go from 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds, while the Ford F-150 takes over four seconds. Being electric and running on power batteries has revolutionized the electric vehicle industry with such power and impeccable performance.

Range

According to reports, Cybertruck can go up to 500 miles on a single charge, making it one of the longest-range trucks in the market. Ford, on the other hand, gives up to 320 miles on a single charge. With such a difference, Ford is left behind as traveling long distances is one of the primary requirements of a truck.

Power Charging

Tesla has already made its mark on power stations nationwide, making it easy for truck owners to charge their trucks. However, Ford needs to expand their charging options through collaborations or partnerships. It’s more likely that you can charge a Cybertruck more conveniently than an F-150.

Quick to Go

The Cybertruck can deliver 250 kW of power, and it just takes 15 minutes to get charged for 200 miles. Ford has a 150kW battery, meaning it’ll take longer to recharge. Consider this while buying, as it’s essential when planning long drives.

Better Safety

The Cybertruck boasts a robust safety cage, reinforced body panels, and advanced driver assistance systems like automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning. The F-150 offers Ford co-pilot technology, including pre-collision assist with automatic emergency brakes and a blind spot information system. The Cybertruck just about edges ahead here.

Revolutionary Technology

Tesla’s Cybertruck offers a wide range of new-age technology, including autopilot, full self-driving capability, and advanced software updates, giving the user a feel of living in the future. The Ford F-150 offers more basic utility functions, like turning on appliances directly from the truck and power tools through the SYNC infotainment system.

Pricing

Both trucks almost cost the same. However, the Tesla is the cheaper one. If we talk about the electric trucks category in general, both are priced as affordable ones that you can buy. Both can be customized, and higher-end configurations are also available for enthusiasts.

Resale Value

What if you no longer need the trucks? Ford’s F-150 has a fan base that demands used models. Tesla’s vehicles have retained their value in the used electric vehicles market because of their strong demand and limited availability of used models. Exclusivity plays a key role here. Limited editions are likely to do better in the used car market than general new ones, and it can be seen in Tesla’s case that they have historically made a mark in this category.

Warranty and Maintenance

Before purchasing a vehicle, you need to consider warranty & maintenance. Ford provides competitive warranty coverage, a network of authorized service centers, and certified technicians who handle maintenance and repairs. Tesla gives an industry-leading warranty for all its electric vehicles, covering the vehicle’s powertrain and battery for up to eight years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Customer Reviews and Feedback

A product’s reputation or sales in the market majorly depends on what kind of customer feedback it has received. Tesla wins over Ford here. From futuristic design to futuristic features, Tesla has caught the attention of today’s generation with their Cybertruck.

Some claim that the dependability of autos has decreased. Modern cars have a shorter lifespan than some cars manufactured between the 1970s and the 1990s, but some new and used cars today are good enough to last for at least ten years and up to 500,000 miles. When these vehicles break down, most problems are relatively simple, and many don’t have serious difficulties. Here are 15 of the most reliable cars ever made: 15 Most Reliable Cars Ever Made — Why They Never Quit
