CIAS 2026 marked another debut for Hyundai Canada: the IONIQ 6 N (641-hp electric performance sedan). While the CRATER Concept (electric off-road adventure SUV) made its Canadian premiere at the MIAS. $4.1M Hyundai Hope On Wheels Commitment

Beyond the sheet metal and awards, Hyundai demonstrated its corporate values with a major announcement at CIAS: a $4.1 million commitment in 2026 to Hyundai Hope On Wheels, the company’s childhood cancer research initiative. The donation is further broken down to
$1.15 million which is dedicated to clinical trials and family transportation support, and a $1 million research grant fund (four $250,000 grants over two years). It has also announced a new partnership with C17 Council (national organization representing Canada’s pediatric hematology, oncology, and stem cell transplant programs). To date, Hyundai has committed more than $8 million to childhood cancer research and care in Canada, making it the largest non-governmental supporter of childhood cancer research in the country.
